Meeting Minutes
May 21, 2024
Attendance: Les Shope, Mike Thomas, Jason Kelly, John Beal, Dustin McCormick, Kevin Copeland, John Vickers, Rick Johnson, Billy Owens
Meeting opened at 7pm
The minutes from the last meeting were read. Approved by John Vickers and 2nd by Dustin McCormick
The treasurer's report was given by Dick Durbin. Approved by Dustin McCormick 2nd by John Vickers
Old Business: John Beal brought up the waiver that was discussed in previous meetings. It was proposed that the waiver that was presented previously would be re-written by Mike Thomas to better suit our club. He would then send it out for review. Dustin said that he could have a coworker who was a lawyer to review it and make suggestions. Jason said that he also had a lawyer on the coaching staff that was a lawyer if Dustin’s would not review it.
New Business: None
The dollar pot was won by Kevin Copeland
Tournament Information: Mike Thomas read the results of the Eufaula tournament. He also read the standings year to date.
He reminded everyone of the next tournament that it will be held on Sunday out of Hall landing.
He also talked about the new permit database and the difficulty in obtaining changes to dates or locations which now requires a phone call to the DNR to make the changes before a new permit can be obtained.
June’s tournament is out of Sneads Landing on Saturday 22 June safe light to 3pm.
It was also suggested that everyone get to the ramp early for the Talquin tournament due to it being a Holiday weekend and the ramp will be crowded due to all the pleasure boating.
